I've only been back at school for a total of two days and I have already had an emotional break-down. Mind you, it only lasted for about five minutes because that's all the time I had to spare for my emotions. Yep, you heard me right, I have to schedule in my emotional break-downs. That's how busy I already am with school! It's insane; junior year is seriously going to be the most stressful year of my life.
Though I suppose you would rather I talk about something more uplifting or at least more interesting than my issues with the new school year...
So, I have this one teacher, my English teacher, who absolutely hates Disney; He told me it's evil. When I first heard about him from friends last year, I thought that he and I were not going to get along at all because I think Disney is one of the best things since sliced bread. As it turns out, I was wrong. English is my favorite class so far this year (Yes, I realize it's only been two days, but you know what they say about good first impressions and whatnot), and he is my favorite teacher of the year. One of the things I really like about him is that he wants this class to be a place where we can express our opinions without being prosecuted or judged, which I find appealing because my opinions are often some of the least popular; especially when it comes to religion, but I won't get into that today.
Another reason that I liked my teacher from the very moment I met him was due to the fact that he was wearing a really nice suit. Now I know this may sound silly, but something I value is a man's ability to be well dressed. And my English teacher is not too bad looking either, but don't worry I don't have a crush on him or anything. There's absolutely nothing wrong with recognizing a good looking person.
Going back to his hatred for Disney, I came up with an idea awhile back when I first found out that I was going to have him as my teacher. I decided that I was going to color him a page from my Disney Princess coloring book every night, so that every day of the school year I would have a page to tape to the wall of his classroom. I know that might sound kind of strange, or insane considering that the man abhors Disney (especially the princesses), but that's sort of me in a nut shell- insane, annoying, and crazy. Oh, and I forgot intimidating (something that I have started to work on this year).
Anyway, I like this idea, even if you all think I'm crazy (Which I am, so what does it even matter?), and I feel like my teacher won't hate me for it. It'll be more like that thing that you act annoyed about, but really you feel appreciated because someone took this time to do something just for you.
I also forgot to mention that my English teacher has a very sarcastic, dry sense of humor, which is fantastic because it's very similar to mine, and so I get all his jokes. It's also funny because some kids in my class don't understand his humor at all and just laugh because other people are laughing.
Why are high schoolers all such sheep?
I guess it's just a maturity thing.
Well, hopefully these last two days of your lives have been far less stressful than mine.
